Committee Managed Bonfires

Another successful Committee managed bonfire on the site yesterday. Plus no rain!! The next Committee Managed Bonfire will be on Wednesday 12th February.

We can still see lots of old wood (broken pallets/tree branches etc.) left on many plots that needs to removed as soon as possible. Plot Tenants can deposit these at the designated red staked areas at the back gate.

Please place old/broken pallets behind the blue covering pile and any tree branches in the next area (nearest the gate). Thank you in advance for helping The Committee clean up the site.

If you need assistance moving any old/broken pallets or tree branches/cuttings etc. to the back gate, please let the Committee know either here on via our normal email, readingroadplots@woodley-allotments.org.uk.

Many thanks &
Kind regards

Onsite Recycling & Compost/Horse Manure/Wood Chip resources

Hi Everyone,

As part of the Committee’s work to help make the Allotment Site and Plots better able to deal with rubbish; Special_Bulletin-109 (click on image below for your own copy) explains how we are helping tenants deal with Metal, Glass, Wood and other recycling on site.

Also, Special_Bulletin-110 (click on image below for your own copy) is a list of Compost, Horse Manure and Wood chip resources. If you have any suitable resources that you have used that are not on our list, please let us know for future publication.

The Committee expects to make further announcements about other types of rubbish disposal/recycling schemes soon.

If you have any questions about this Special Bulletin, please contact us at readingroadplots@woodley-allotments.org.uk or reply to this post below.

Many thanks &
Kind regards
