Updated WATA Data Protection Policies

This post is to let you know that we have updated our Data Protection Policies. These can now be found on our Allotment Policies & Rules page on our Website.

The content is the more or less the same as when we first issued the documents (2022), however a few minor changes have been made to reflect updates to the UK GDPR itself, and changed Web Links. However, your Data Protection Rights remain the same as before.

This is our updated registration certificate from the UK ICO.

Please let us know if you have any comments by responding to this post by leaving a reply below.

Don’t forget that you can also join our growing mailing list by Opting In using this form.

Kind regards

Chair – WATA Committee

Welcome to New Committee’s first Post of 2025

As many of you will know, we held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 27th. The minutes have been collated and will be published shortly. The new Committee also recently met with Woodley Town Council (WTC), raising a number of points discussed at the AGM and some other historical items.

A ‘short’ version of the WTC/WATA committee meeting minutes can be seen below, you can also download a copy as a PDF, if you click on the image below.

We encourage any comments/feedback that you have about this meeting by using the ‘Leave a Reply‘ function at the end of this post. Also, if there is a subject that we should have discussed, or you would like us to being to WTC’s attention, then please also let us know using the same process.

As we get going as a new Committee, we would like to thank all previous Committee members for their service and, as was mentioned at the AGM, give a special thanks to Sara Jackson for being Chair over the past few years.

Lastly, as mentioned at the AGM we are in the process of rebuilding our mailing list, which you can join by clicking on Opt-In and completing the form on that page. We have also come across a list of people that asked to join the mailing list in 2024, we will begin to add those to the mailing list over the coming days.
