Onsite Recycling & Compost/Horse Manure/Wood Chip resources

Hi Everyone,

As part of the Committee’s work to help make the Allotment Site and Plots better able to deal with rubbish; Special_Bulletin-109 (click on image below for your own copy) explains how we are helping tenants deal with Metal, Glass, Wood and other recycling on site.

Also, Special_Bulletin-110 (click on image below for your own copy) is a list of Compost, Horse Manure and Wood chip resources. If you have any suitable resources that you have used that are not on our list, please let us know for future publication.

The Committee expects to make further announcements about other types of rubbish disposal/recycling schemes soon.

If you have any questions about this Special Bulletin, please contact us at readingroadplots@woodley-allotments.org.uk or reply to this post below.

Many thanks &
Kind regards

Managed Bonfires and Rubble Disposal

As you will be aware from previous posts, the Committee has been working with WTC on various actions that will assist plot tenants in dealing with the removal of various types of rubbish from their plots (one being the yearly skips that we have on site in the Spring).

With that in mind, please see below an important Special Bulletin that outlines two new schemes that will begin to help with the clearing up of unused Wood and Rubble from tenants’ allotment plots. Simply click on the image below to view the full Special Bulletin.

The Committee expects to make further announcements about other types of rubbish disposal schemes soon. If you have any questions about this Special Bulletin, please contact the Committee by replying to this post or via readingroadplots@woodley-allotments.org.uk.

Many thanks &
Kind regards

AGM – 2021

Many thanks to everyone that came to AGM – 2021 last Tuesday, nearly 90 people in attendance, a very good turnout.

Please find below some summary feedback about the meeting. Click on the image and you can download a copy for yourself in case you are not on the mailing list.

Full minutes of the meeting will also be made available in due course.

If you know anyone that is not on the Internet or does not have email, then please let them know that we will be posting this Special Bulletin on the notice board by the main gate.

We do know of around 10 people (to date) who are not able to receive electronic communications from the committee and with that in mind we are now printing copies of all relevant communications and hand delivering these to their respective plots.
