Allotment Plot A30 – Sport in Mind Charity activity morning for children. Sunday 13th February 2022
Although the Committee were not consulted about this and have yet to be officially informed by the Sport in Mind charity, the Committee has recently been made aware that the charity has independently arranged an activity morning for children from 10am -12noon at the Reading Road allotment site on the Sport in Mind allotment Plot – A30 this Sunday 13th February.
The Committee have been given no details so cannot confirm how many children have been invited, what they will be doing or where they will be going.
We understand they are to be dropped off but we also have no additional information about how parents will access the site and whether this could be an issue for tenants planning to visit their allotment plots.
We therefore ask you to be mindful that there may be children walking around the allotment site and, if you are visiting your allotment plot this Sunday morning, we urge you to keep a watchful eye and stick rigidly to the 5mph speed limits at all times.
If you have any concerns about this event or would like to comment please contact Woodley Town Council on firstname.lastname@example.org
We have just published the February Newsletter using our new mailing list and all seems to have worked well with only one bounce back error!! We have also continued to hand-deliver paper copies to plot holders who do not have an Internet connection.
We can see that there are still a number people who were on the old mailing list who have not yet signed up to the new mailing list. As a temporary measure, we have left a number of additional paper copies in a waterproof bag in the box on the main gate notice board. Please feel free to take one.
If you do want to receive an email/PDF copy of the monthly Newsletter and any further Special Bulletins including information about the up-coming EGM next Wednesday, then you can easily sign up by scanning the QR code in the posters we have attached to the main gate as you go in/out of the site, or by scanning the QR code in the image below.
You can also download a copy of the February Newsletter by clicking on the left image below.
A quick reminder about the up-coming EGM scheduled for Wednesday 9th February 2022 at the Woodley Oakwood Centre at 7:30 pm to discuss changes to the Woodley Allotments Tenants Association Constitution.
Copies of the Special Bulletin (69) and the proposed changes document have been sent out previously as well as paper copies to tenants who do not have an Internet connection. We will also be providing copes on the night at the EGM.
However, if you would like an electronic copy, you can download a PDF by clicking on each of the images below. We look forward to see you at the EGM.
Many thanks to everyone that came to AGM – 2021 last Tuesday, nearly 90 people in attendance, a very good turnout.
Please find below some summary feedback about the meeting. Click on the image and you can download a copy for yourself in case you are not on the mailing list.
Full minutes of the meeting will also be made available in due course.
If you know anyone that is not on the Internet or does not have email, then please let them know that we will be posting this Special Bulletin on the notice board by the main gate.
We do know of around 10 people (to date) who are not able to receive electronic communications from the committee and with that in mind we are now printing copies of all relevant communications and hand delivering these to their respective plots.
